Welcome to PantoneConverter.com. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information across our website and suite of web tools.

Unlike traditional color matching software or upload-based online converters, PantoneConverter is engineered to be a fully client-side application. This design fundamentally guarantees your absolute privacy.

All search parameters, input colors, values, and files are processed strictly inside your device’s web browser:

• Image to Pantone: When you select or drop an image into our color extractor, the pixels are analyzed locally via HTML5 canvas. The image is never uploaded to any remote server or backend database.
• Color Conversions: Conversions for HEX, RGB, HSL, and CMYK run dynamically using pure client-side JavaScript. No color search history is monitored or saved.

When you click the “Save” heart icon next to color swatches on our website, those items are saved directly on your computer or phone using your browser’s localStorage database.

Because this data remains entirely local, we do not require account registration, login credentials, or email collections. You can permanently clear all saved colors at any time simply by clearing your browser cache or site data.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors find and use this site. This is the only third-party analytics service we use.

Google Analytics collects:

• Your IP address (used to derive an approximate location and then discarded by Google; we never see or store it ourselves)
• Approximate location at city level
• Device and browser information (screen size, operating system, browser version)
• Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and outbound link clicks
• How you arrived at this site (search engine, referring site, or direct)

We want to be precise about one thing: your IP address and the identifier stored in the analytics cookie are considered personal data under European law. We do not use them to identify you, and we never receive them in a form that would let us do so, but they are not anonymous.

Google Analytics does not receive any information about the specific colors you convert, the images you analyze, or the colors you save. Those never leave your browser, as described in sections 1 and 2.

Cookies used:

• _ga — expires after 2 years — distinguishes returning visitors
• _ga_<measurement-id> — expires after 2 years — maintains session state
• cookie-consent — stored in localStorage, does not expire — remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again

We do not use advertising cookies, and we have disabled Google Signals, which means your activity here is not linked to your Google account or used for ad personalization.

4. Your Choices and Legal Basis

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, analytics cookies are set only after you accept them. Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

If you are visiting from elsewhere, analytics cookies are set by default. You can decline them at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. 5. International Transfers

Google Analytics processes data on servers located in the United States. Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses as the legal mechanism for these transfers.

6. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically. Aggregated reports (visit counts and similar statistics that cannot be traced to an individual) may be kept longer.

Colors you save are stored only on your own device and remain there until you clear your browser data.

7. Your Rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. You can exercise your choice regarding analytics through the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

Because we do not operate user accounts and cannot identify you from analytics data alone, we may be unable to locate your specific records. In that case the fastest way to remove your data from this site is to clear your browser's cookies and site data.
